About Hazel's Footprints London   Allocation of funds

Hazel's Footprints London was set up to support Hazel's Footprints Trust and to allow friends of the Trust to offer their skills and help in it's endeavors.

We have the following aims:

  1. To raise and help coordinate the raising of funds for Hazel's Footprints Trust
  2. To increase awareness of Hazel's Footprints Trust and it's aims.
  3. To help find deserving projects in developing countries in line with the Trust's Third Aim.

The Hazel's Footprints London Committee
Hazel's Footprints London aims help involve friends of Hazel's Footprints with the Trust. We have set up a small committee of seven people to help pull together offers of help, identify potential projects for the Trust to support and to fund raise for these projects. This committee has a membership policy whereby any position can be applied for once held for over a year by another. Please get in touch if you feel you can help and that you can realistically give the time and commitment to help Hazel's Footprints London.

Committee members are David Mortimer, Ben Newman, Lucy Mitchell, Ruth Sutherland, Peter Scott Aiten, John Widdowson and Rachael Hill.

Hazel's Footprints Trust was set up in 2004 and raised over £300,000 in under a year. This money has been invested and yields the funds which are used to support the Trust's first two aims.

This means any additional money raised each year is put towards the Trust's third aim.

It is towards this aim that money raised through the Highland Fling and other Hazel's Footprints London endeavors will be put. Hazel's Footprints London are currently looking for projects that they can support through the Trust. We want to be able to be able show where the money raised by Hazel's Footprints London has been spent and we will publish details of these projects on this site when they are confirmed.
