And there's a hand, my trusty fere!
And gie's a hand o' thine!
And we'll tak a right gude-willie waught,
For auld lang syne.
A tribute to the life, works and spirit of the great Scottish poet, Robert Burns, 25 January, 1759 – 1796; Burns Suppers range from wonderfully formal gatherings of esthetes and scholars to uproariously informal gatherings of drunkards and louts. Most Burns Suppers fall in the middle of this range, and adhere, more or less, to some sort of time honoured form which includes the eating of a traditional Scottish meal, the drinking of Scotch whisky, and the recitation of works by, about, or in the spirit of the Bard.
We ask you to place yourself on the scale between esthete and lout and throw yourself into the Burns Night revelries. Whilst raising some money for Hazel's Footprints!
