George Matts cycles 17,000km to Cape Town   In brief:

Having long dreamt of travelling the length of Africa over land, at the age of 25 George bought a bicycle, handed in his notice and set off from Northamptonshire for Cape Town. Over 6 months later he'd made it!

George kindly chose to support Hazel's Footprints Trust in undertaking this mammoth peddle powered road-trip. He has some amazing tales to tell, many of which can be found in his Blog.

What's George got to say?

"I've cycled under armed guard in Egypt, crossed deserts in Sudan, been harrassed in Ethiopia, cycled through bandit country in Kenya and lion country in Tanzania. I've pimped myself out as a bicycle taxi in Mozambique, dealt with the financial woes of Zimbabwe and hyenas round my tent in Botswana."

An amazing achievement... Congratulations and Thank you!
