JOGLE   In brief:

After a few beers it seemed to Ben, Svet and Matt that it would be a good idea to ride from the Northern most point of mainland Britain to the Southern most. Not content with forming a drunken plan and letting it fade with the hangover, 'JOGLE' (John O'Groats to Lands End) is going ahead and all in the name of Hazel's Footprints Trust. There are one or two things that the JOGLE team would like to point out...

  • The time constraint: They've only got 13 days.
  • The support vehicle: They don't have one. They will be carrying all of their kit on the bikes, including tents and cooking equipment.
  • The weather: The borders in April are not renowned for their sunny spells.
  • Their Experience: Matt cycled to Portugal last summer, but took his time and had the weather on his side, Svet has done some long distance riding, but Ben only just took his stabilisers off.
  • The Yorkshire 3 peaks fell walk: On their "rest day" in the middle they'll be taking in the small challenge of 24 miles of fell walking.

We wish the JOGLE team the very best of luck!
